CHICAGO, IL, USA - Several highly accomplished fight sport professionals recently announced the creation of the MMA Sport Federation, an organization that will champion the highest ideals of sportsmanship & athleticism in mixed-martial arts. The MMA Sport Federation will provide an opportunity for the best young, new fighters around the world to train, develop talent & advance their reputations while competing on global teams to become the finest athletes in the world.

The MMASF brings a new chapter to the explosive MMA arena.  Emphasizing the incubation of new talent while building young fighters for tomorrow, the MMASF promotes sportsmanship & supreme athleticism all in a national team competition format.

“MMA Sport Federation’s name says it as we put SPORT at the heart of it all by stressing athleticism, skill and sportsmanship,” says Mick Doyle, Team USA coach and former International Kickboxing Organization world champion. “Those are the values not only needed to be selected for our U.S. Team, but also to succeed at the highest levels of the sport internationally.”

The MMA Sport Federation is the creation of Rob Zbilski & Scott Fischer, both black belts with extensive fight sport credentials.  Federation President Zbilski is a former UFC judge, USA Boxing Golden Glove coach & current Head Coach for Team USA Kickboxing. Fischer is a trainer, Head Official for WAKO (World Association of Kickboxing Organizations) & successful fight event promoter.  Together they have more than 20 years of international experience promoting hundreds of successful fighting events.

“We are putting athleticism, skill & respect at the heart of it all to deliver some of the highest quality bouts anywhere. The very best rising stars of MMA in the U.S. and around the globe will be seen in our ring,” says Fischer.

On July 31st, 2010, the MMA Sport Federation will premiere its first event as Team USA takes on the world at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois outside of Chicago.  With teams from the US, Australia, Poland & Ireland, the event promises to showcase some of the worlds best young fighting talent. .  The U.S. will fight to secure its status as a dominant power in Mixed Martial Arts at a time when the sport is increasingly global and competitive,” says Zbilski. “This is one of the must see fighting events of the year.”

Organizers say fans can look forward to high-quality, world-class matchups featuring some of the best talent in any ring anywhere in the world. The international team competition adds an element of national pride and high stakes that will rev up crowds and competitors. The atmosphere promises to be electric and chants of national pride will add an exhilarating dimension to the event.

The principals of the MMA Sport Federation stress they intend to become a leader among MMA organizations in setting the standards for sportsmanship, conduct, fighter advocacy & high-quality sports entertainment offerings.
