Team USA swept Team England three to nothing in a night of extraordinary Mixed Martial Arts Action!  With a full undercard of fights, the MMA Sport Federation held up to their reputation as the leader in amateur Mixed Martial Arts competitions.  Team USA consisted of Two Illinois natives and one fighter from Detroit, Michigan.  Frank Sloan of Springfield,, Illinois and Stephan Von Aulick of DeKalb, IL headed up the Illinois representation and The Main event Fighter from Detroit Michigan was Brandon Maddox. Saturday, May 7th- The MMA Sport Federation hosted a big night of fights in St. Charles, Illinois at the DuPage Expo Center. An evening stacked with international team competition. Making a special appearance was UFC and Pride legend, Mark “the Hammer” Coleman. The MMA Sport Federation- Team USA took on Team Australia and the Pan Pacific Warriors.  With a short under card fight, Will Alfaro of Missouri took on Kevin Maloy of Crete, Illinois.  Will Alfaro in control of this most of this bout, finished Maloy off at 2:37 of round number 1 with a sweet armbar from the mount. Then Team USA vs. Team Pan Pacific began with Jay Powell (USA) landing a devastating spinning backfist on Romel Luistro in just over a minute of the 1st round. What a way to start the festivities for Team USA. Fireworks continued for Team USA in the next fight, which saw Steve Burton KO Vik Grujic early in the 2nd round. This year, the UFC has had events in Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, England, and next week the Octagon travels to Germany. With international popularity and participation increasing, a future spot for MMA in the Olympics would seem possible -- especially with wrestling, judo, tae kwon do and boxing already in the Games. MMA simply combines those disciplines in one sport. The Schaumburg-based MMA Sport Federation seeks to foster competition by holding international amateur events in a team format, much like the Olympics. ''There's so much growth worldwide, we saw the potential to put a U.S. team together to compete internationally,'' said Rob Zbilski, president of the MMA Sport Federation. Read the whole article

The MMA Sport Federation in accordance with Realtime Sports Bar will be holding Team USA Qualifiers to see who reins superior and will compete against Mexico in January.  This first time ever event looks to sell out quickly so click HERE for tickets.  Fighters from all over the Midwest will be in attendance putting everything they have on the line to be the few chosen fighters to represent their country.   
On November 19th, 2010, The MMASF-Team USA will be competing against Italy on a night of international MMA competition! The MMA Sport federation will be bringing Team Italy against Team USA.  This event has joined together 40 other countries in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts where international competition will be focused for years to come.  Team USA fighter, Alex White and two others TBNL along with assistant Coach Joe Worden will be leading the charge to Italy!
